Recap of my week in Fort Collins

Monday: Arrived in Fort Collins, participated in a bible study at Grace's apartment that she shares with Kathryn and Margaret (her sisters)

Tuesday: Waited at Chick-Fil-A for Grace to get off work and was asked to leave so someone could have my table (I thought it was funny). Walked around Old Town in Fort Collins, there are alot of really cool stores there. That night we went Salsa and Swing Dancing. Grace's friend Joe taught me how to Salsa dance and Brady with a braid taught me how to swing. It was a lot of fun!

Wednesday: Lazy day, but I ended up going to Choir practice with Margaret and they let me sing in the choir. It was an experience for sure.

Thursday: Ate breakfast at Lucille's, a New Orleans style restaurant with Grace, Kathryn, and Autumn. Walked around Old Town again then went to a J. Crew outlet store (Grace's Favorite). That night Grace and I went with  Joe to a poker party and we learned how to play Texas Hold 'Em. I got out first. I stink at poker. Like really stink at poker. We made Joe treat us to Frosties and then we went and watched Troy. Horrible acting in that movie.

Friday: Grace worked in the morning so Joe and I went to get coffee. We actually sat outside and I didnt have a coat on. It was great. Once Grace got off work we had an adventure at Sam's club. I choked on some chicken. That night we hung out with Andy and Dylan. They are both hilarious. We went to someones birthday party and were cracking each other up. I don't think we really talked to anybody else there. Then we tried out this 90's themed party and it was horrible. Very very boring. SO we went to Grace's and played poker with Skittles and watched Mystery Men. A very good night indeed.

Saturday: Andy, Autumn, Autumn's roomate Kathryn, Grace and I climbed up to Horse Tooth. It isnt even a mountain, its a foot hill, but it is still some 4,000 or higher feet. Elevation sucks. Grace and I wanted to quit many, many, many, many times but we got to the top and it was worth it. Andy, Grace and I then went to Chick-Fil-A to eat away the workout we just had and we got a backstage tour of the place. Free ice cream was included. That night Autumn, Grace and I went out to eat at this place called Cafe Vino and it was delicious. we each got something that we could share with each other. Then we went to The Chocolate Cafe. I didnt get any dessert but Autumn and Grace did and they loved it. Next we went dancing at this placed called The Ti Bar. It was interesting. More guys than girls which was weird. I probably wouldnt ever go back, but it was fun for one night.

Sunday: Marge and I got up early for the choir. It was actually alot of fun singing in the choir. We sang a couple hymns along with more modern songs, but I'm glad I at least kind of know how to read music. It helped quiet a bit. After church we went to Cafe Mexicali. They have these humungous burritos. I probably ate a quarter of mine, but it was delicious. We got home and I fell asleep pretty quickly. All the girls had to be at church for different things, but at 5 Kathryn was able to come and get me before Real Faith (the college age ministry) started. It was really great. The girls's brother, Charlie, actually is the pastor of this ministry and he is a great speaker. Worship was great too. It was just an awesome night. A great way to end my week in Fort Collins.

The whole week we watched The Big Bang Theory basically any chance we got. I'm a little disappointed because I didnt get to finish the seasons. Maybe I will have to Hulu it. And I'm sorry I dont have any good pictures. I brought a camera with me (a little point and shoot) but I forgot a memory card. I'm a smarty pants.

I will be sure to update about my week in California more frequently. Turkey in a little over a week!

A Teensy Bit Sick

I really am allergic to dogs. This theory has never realllly been tested until this week. Grace's dog Zoe really enjoys sleeping with me and I hate it. She always lays down in the worst spots and won't move. She's annoying. But it turns out I am allergic to her. Oh well. I'll just take some Claritin. I keep sneezing though. Good thing I love sneezing.

Fort Collins, Colorado

Why Hello Folks!
Right now I am blogging from a Starbucks in Fort Collins, Colorado. From where I am sitting I can see the Horse Tooth. It's this spot on the mountains that actually looks like a horse tooth. Fort Collins is a beautiful place, and its 50 or over here! Makes me so happy. I'm waiting for my best friend Grace to get off work. 30 more minutes. We're going salsa and swing dancing tonight. I've never done either of them so I am pretty pumped. It still hasn't sunk in that I am done in the cafe and that I am moving. I really can't wait to see English and Timmy. That is going to be a lot of fun indeed.

This past week was a little stressful. I am such a procrastinator but I just couldn't find the motivation to pack up all my stuff. I have so many clothes. Holy Cow I don't even know where they all came from. Probably Savers. I fit everything I need for these 2 weeks in one of my dad's old army bags. It was really awkward to carry but hey I only had one bag! I'd say thats pretty awesome of me.

Well back to watching Psych while I wait! Have a great day!

One Week

Only one more week until I leave Rochester. I have so many things I need to do! Why am I such a procrastinator? I think its genes. I am so excited to see my best friend Grace Sandberg very very soon. And my sister English. Unfortunately, I will be in Turkey for her wedding reception, but I really wanted to visit, so I decided what a better time than now? It's going to be a great two weeks.. That is if I make it through this week. That's pretty iffy right now.

Numbers 23:19

19  God is not a man, so he does not lie. He is not human, so he does not change his mind. Has he ever spoken and failed to act? Has he ever promised and not carried it through?

I was reading this this morning and I love it. It just really hits home that God is so much more than we are, but he is always there for each and everyone one of us. And that is Beautiful.
